Over the last year Datim have undertaken various projects at the hospital comprising of:

• Creation of new sexual health unit
• Refurbishment of the reception area
• New WRVS shop unit to reception
• Creation of a new TESA unit

The TESA and sexual health units required Datim to work in live patient/staff areas of the hospital whilst undertaking refurbishment of areas to create new treatment rooms including structural works, M&E and finishes again to a tight timescale as the clinical staff required the areas open for patient treatment.

Datim also undertook the works to create a new shop at the main entrance including structural works, M&E and finishes, this area both open to the public and hospital patients and staff was opened earlier this year by cricketer Steve Harmison.

During this time the local Health Trust also required the full reception to be refurbished and upgraded, with the majority of the work completed at night and having to be reopened every morning for the hospital to use the area. This challenging part of the project included new M&E installation, structural and finishes was completed on time and within budget.
