This impossible project was again completed on time and within budget. The client and architect had devised a scheme to this grade 1 listed hotel and spa to extend the function suite into the room adjacent, the problem being the area of major work was to only remove one wall, this one wall was over the barrel vault cellars below and held up above two 100tonne stone chimneys.

In conjunction with an innovative propping design by the structural engineer we commenced the works, with the only proviso that the project had to be completed within 4wks as the suite was booked for a wedding, we had also to keep all noisy working to a minimum as not to upset hotel residents. Again the project was completed to the satisfaction of the client and one day early giving them additional time to prepare and exactly on the projected cost.
